Oceanworks Retreats to nourish your mind, body and soul



a) To make a booking, we require the booking form to be completed and a deposit to be paid.  The booking form is available here.
b) A full questionnaire will be sent to you so that we are able to assess the fitness and health of each individual and tailor the retreat to your needs.  The Lifestyle Questionnaire is available here.
c) To secure your booking, a deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking.
d) The balance will fall due 6 weeks prior to the first day of the retreat.  Should you wish to book within 6 weeks of the start date, the full 100% payment will be required with the booking form.
e) The booking will then be confirmed via email.
f) Payments are non-refundable unless OceanWorks cancel the retreat for reasons beyond our control.
g) The contract between you and OceanWorks will only exist once we have a deposit, completed payment, booking form and questionnaire from you and your booking has been confirmed via email acknowledgement.
h) Where a group is booking, an individual booking form and questionnaire is required for each participant.
i) Forms may be sent by post or scanned and emailed.


a) Payment may be made via direct transfer (BACS) or credit card.
b) BACS details of OceanWorks account are on the booking form.
c) We reserve the right to alter any quoted price at any time up to the booking according to fluctuations in costs and exchange rates.


a) Bookings are welcome from any gender
b) Participants must be 16 years old at the date of the start of the retreat.  Any guest under 18 must be accompanied by an adult of 18 years or over.
c) There is no upper limit for our age range!
d) Retreat rooms are sold on a single or double occupancy basis.  There are a selection of double or twin rooms available which can be booked for single occupancy at a slightly higher rate.
e) All travel arrangements to the airport of your retreat are at your own cost and arrangement.  However, we can recommend certain airlines and have knowledge of the best flights available for the retreats abroad, so please do contact us for information.
f) You MUST take out your own travel insurance to cover the activities in which you will be taking part.  We cannot be held responsible for cancellation due to any sickness or loss.  You may be asked to provide a copy of your insurance for our files.
g) You are responsible for ensuring you have a valid passport and visa (where required) for travel.


a) It is very unlikely that OceanWorks will have to cancel your booking but we reserve the right to cancel the retreat for any reason at any time.  Under these circumstances we will refund all your money paid by you within 10 days of cancellation.
b) Should you need to cancel your booking, you will need to let us know in writing or email us immediately.  
c) In the event of cancellation prior to 12 weeks in advance, you will not be held liable for the remainder of the booking fee but the deposit will not be refunded.
d) Cancellations after 12 weeks in advance will incur the full cost of the retreat.  However at our discretion, should the retreat be full and we are able to fill your place, we will refund 50% of the retreat payment.  
e) We advise taking your own travel insurance to cover cancellation due to sickness, bereavement or other unforeseen circumstances requiring your cancellation.
f) If you need to leave part way through the retreat for whatever reason we cannot refund the remaining portion of the fee.
g) We do not accept liability for cancellation or delays or changes caused by Force Majeure over which we have no control.  This includes;war, threat of war, riots, terrorist actions or threats, fire, adverse weather, closure of airports, civil strife, industrial action, natural disaster, technical problems, unforeseen changes circumstances or any other event beyond our control.


a) You are required to complete a lifestyle health questionnaire with your booking.  It is helpful to us to make this as full and informative as possible so that we can prepare and give you the very best experience on the retreat.
b) Depending on the severity of any condition, it may be necessary for us to request a letter from your GP to confirm that it is safe for you to attend.
c) OceanWorks retreats may not be suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women.  A doctor’s letter would be required in order for us to assess the suitability of a particular retreat.  Detox retreats will definitely not be suitable.
d) In the interests of your wellbeing and ongoing health it may be necessary for us to decline your booking.
e) OceanWorks will not be liable for any health or other issues which may be deemed to have been caused by your participation in this retreat.


a) OceanWorks do not publish the full programme in advance as this is a flexible schedule to allow us to personalise the day’s activities according to our participants.  A general content list is provided on our website.
b) The weather may also play a part in changes to our plans so that we can maximise the outdoor activities, particularly on our retreats abroad.


a) We accept responsibility to provide our guests with the services and accommodation as described to the best of our ability and to a reasonable standard.
b) Whilst all measures are taken to ensure the health and safety of our participants, each person is responsible for their physical and emotional wellbeing whilst on the retreat and subsequently.
c) Each participant should also consider the health and safety of others and the staff on the retreat.
d) OceanWorks participants will take good care of the property in which they are staying and the equipment used.
e) OceanWorks will not be held responsible for any death, injury or loss arising from the use of facilities, equipment, transportation and participation in activities at the OceanWorks Retreat.
f) OceanWorks are not liable for any medical or psychiatric conditions which may develop during or subsequent to the retreat.
g) You are responsible for your own property during the retreat.  No responsibility can be accepted by OceanWorks for any loss or damage to a guest’s belongings howsoever caused.
h) We reserve the right to exclude any person from the property and or activities whose behaviour is abusive or disruptive.  We are not responsible for any of their actions affecting other guests.  You must not behave in a way which causes distress or annoyance to others in your group, including staff or which may create a risk of danger or damage to property.


a) The retreat is designed to give participants peace and tranquillity to be calm and reflective so our ultimate advice is to leave the high tech world at home.  However, we understand the need to be in touch with loved ones and so we request that mobile phones are left in your room at all times and only used there in private so as not to disturb other guests.  
b) Wifi is available in each property.


a) When you give us your name and personal details you consent for these to be used in processing your booking. We may use your details to send you future retreat information or advise of special offers from OceanWorks and our associated companies.  We will not keep payment details on file and we will not pass your information on to any other Company outside the OceanWorks group.


a) The descriptions and illustrations in our promotional material and website are given in good faith as an approximate representative only.  
b) Whilst we aim to give an accurate representation of our retreats, the accuracy, reliability and completeness of our material cannot be guaranteed.  This includes written matter, photographs, graphics and links.  
c) We do not guarantee that the use of the website and or our emails will not result in viruses and will not be held liable for any associated costs.
d) The contents of our website is protected by copyright by law.  
e) Links to third parties are given as a convenience to you and not as an endorsement by OceanWorks and we cannot take any responsibility for the accuracy or content of these sites.
